Edan Blue is a solutions orientated HR & Resourcing consultancy. Founded by Louise Millard, an HR professional with over 20 years’ experience, we provide consultancy services to small businesses, start-ups, and individuals as well as specialist advice for law firms, lawyers and the finance industry.
Louise’s approach is results-driven and commercially-minded, with an emphasis on nurturing a positive and dynamic workplace culture. Shaped over two decades of change and advancements in people management, Louise’s methods are straight-talking, jargon free, and designed to offer her clients peace of mind and the confidence to recruit, develop and manage an empowered and driven team.

Industry Experience

Having studied law at Aberdeen University, Louise started her legal recruitment career in the Scottish market, placing lawyers into law firms and in-house legal teams. A move to London allowed her the opportunity to develop a niche practice area, placing lawyers from around the globe into law firms, companies and banks in the Middle East.
In 2010, Louise joined the in-house recruitment team of a US Investment Bank where she became the Lead Recruiter for MENA across all lines of business. She was instrumental in the build-out of their Riyadh office and developed and implemented innovative recruiting strategies to attract talent in the region with a key focus on strategies which supported the development of a diverse candidate pool.
Keen to broaden her knowledge and share expertise, in 2016, Louise crossed-over into a generalist HR role, progressing to become a member of the EMEA Global Employee Support Leadership team, where she played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of an HR Shared Services Operating Model.
Louise subsequently moved into an HR Business Partner role, partnering with leaders and HR Centres of Excellence to drive action around a comprehensive People Agenda, including client advisory and coaching, relationship management, talent management, organisational design, compensation and employee relations.
In addition to this, Louise was a key member of the team involved in the launch of a new UK digital bank, working in a start-up culture, adopting agile working practices and flexing to the ever-changing needs of a start-up business.
Louise moved home to Scotland from London in 2017, and currently lives in Edinburgh with her husband and two children.
